Production
Simon Bobbett
Simon has built a successful career in the Audio‑Visual industry since 2000, progressing from AV Assistant into senior leadership after beginning his journey at Whitwam, following two years in their music shop. With extensive experience across live events, installation, onsite support, and higher education, he has led teams, delivered strategic projects, and shaped high‑quality AV services. Most recently, Simon headed AV operations at the University of Southampton, driving innovation and raising standards across the board. Outside of work, he DJs, enjoys gigs and festivals, and can often be found out on his motorbike.
Toby Floyd
Toby works across every department with ease, supporting both the AV and Exhibition teams wherever needed. Bringing a digital-native mindset, he’s quick to get under the skin of new tech and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Now our Exhibition Technical and Engineering Manager & Production Tech, Toby focuses on technical support and operations, making sure each production lands without a hitch. Calm under pressure and easy to work with, he’s a key part of delivering consistently high-quality events.
Liam Gillon
Since joining the team, Liam’s role has continued to grow, with his skills developing to the point where he now manages projects for some of our major clients. He has a natural aptitude for getting to grips with new technologies quickly, applying them in practical ways to meet client needs. Bringing a strong production management and technical foundation shaped by six years working in theatre, Liam is comfortable adapting to changing requirements, troubleshooting under pressure and working collaboratively to get the job done. Whether it’s mixing sound for a live band, orchestrating lighting for a corporate event or supporting the technical delivery behind the scenes, Liam brings a hands-on, can-do attitude that makes him a valuable part of delivering high-quality events.
Tim Withers
Tim is a true AV all-rounder, working confidently across sound, lighting, projection, content, voting tech, staging, rigging and production management. With a wealth of experience and technical knowledge, he brings a meticulous approach to every project, underpinned by strong attention to detail, immaculate preparation and a solid grounding in health and safety. In recent years, Tim has specialised in virtual event production design and delivery, leading on everything from enhanced Zoom meetings to virtual awards, AGMs and complex multi-site productions delivered through bespoke platforms. Calm, reliable and highly experienced, Tim ensures every production is delivered to the highest standard, whatever the format.
Marketing
Chloe Wheywell
With over 20 years of experience developing and executing marketing strategies, driving leads with digital and traditional marketing, events and campaigns, Chloe enjoys writing content and showcasing the talented team and their projects as well as celebrating their birthdays. When not at work, she teaches yoga, swims in very cold water and enjoys cooking for the family and friends.

Buz Ross
As the Managing Director of the Whitwam Group, which encompasses designed event production, Buz holds a pivotal role in the organization. With an impressive track record of over 25 years in production experience, Buz is well-prepared to handle a diverse range of AV event production requests.
Buz’s journey within the Whitwam Group began in the year 2000. Since then, he has evolved from his initial role and expanded his responsibilities to cover various aspects of the business. his hands-on involvement in key operational aspect demonstrates his adaptability and dedication to the company’s success. He is now working closely with Ren and the team of Production Managers to ensure the creative development and professional delivery of our services.
